Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH), Sokoto, invites eligible candidates to apply for its intensive 12-months Post Basic Perioperative Nursing Program for the academic session of 2023/2024.
This advanced course focuses on the perioperative nursing care needs of patients, with a comprehensive approach towards developing specialist operating theatre nurses.
Entry Requirements/Conditions
To be eligible for the Post Basic Perioperative Nursing Program at UDUTH, candidates must fulfill the following prerequisites:
- Candidates with a BSc in Nursing will be prioritized for admission.
- Candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of post-qualification experience as Registered Nurses.
- Candidates must be duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and possess a valid practicing license.
- Candidates must have at least five (5) O’level credits in sciences, including English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology in WAEC/NECO or NABTEB, in no more than two (2) sittings.
- Candidates must present a letter demonstrating their willingness for release/sponsorship from their employer.
- Candidates should be prepared for a full-time study as this program does not allow the merging of courses.
Method of Application
Follow these steps to apply for the program:
- Pay a sum of Ten Thousand Naira (NGN 10,000.00) into the School of Perioperative Nursing, UDUTH Account via Remita.
- Present the original copy of the payment receipt to the school where login details (Pin Number) will be issued to you.
- Visit www.spon.uduth.org.ng to begin the application process.
- Print out two (2) copies of the application summary. Submit one (1) copy to the school, along with photocopies of your credentials.
Important Dates and Selection Process
The application portal will be open from 8th May 2023 and close on 14th July 2023. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an entrance examination and oral interview, scheduled from 22nd July 2023 to 26th July 2023 at the school premises, starting at 8:00 AM. Candidates must present their original credentials for the oral interview.
