The University of British Columbia is inviting applications for doctoral scholarship for Canadian and international applicants. The stipend for the 2016-2017 awards is $30,000 per annum for two years and a $2,000 allowance for research-related travel during the 24 months of the scholarship.
Scholarships are offered in diverse fields to help students in upgrading their education.
Eligibility:
- To be eligible to apply for Killam Doctoral Scholarship funding, applicants must have completed no more than 24 months of doctoral study as of the start date of the scholarship. Therefore, applicants to the fall 2016 competition must have completed no more than 24 months of doctoral study as of September 1, 2017.
- Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.
How to Apply:
Applicants submit their application materials to the College of Graduate Studies.
Please note that students who submit a NSERC doctoral or a SSHRC doctoral award application to the College of Graduate Studies and are successfully forwarded to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (G+PS), are automatically considered for Killam Doctoral Scholarship funding.
These students do not need to submit a separate Affiliated Fellowship application. Applicants may submit complete application forms directly to graduateawards.ok-at-ubc.ca or submit a hard (paper) copy to the College of Graduate Studies
