Two Varsity Students Land In EFCC Net

Two students of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko are currently in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) net on a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy and stealing.

The two students, identified as Aneke Collins Nnamdi and Sifon Samuel Israel were arraigned on Thursday before Justice Theophine Oguji of the State High Court sitting in Awka, Anambra State.

According to EFCC, the suspects were arrested after the First City Monument Bank petitioned the EFCC that they received report from one of their customers, Girls Secondary School, Awka, over an unauthorised web transfer of over N10 million on their account with the bank.

The defendants are to be remanded in prison custody while the case was adjourned to 22 March and 4, 9 May, 2017 for trial.
