Two corps members die in a car crash after orientation course

Two serving corps members, (male and female) have lost their lives in a car accident that occurred along the Zaria/Kano highway. The deceased NYSC members, Nazir Muhammad Yahaya, and Fatima were on their way back home to Kaduna State after the 2022 Batch “B” Stream One Orientation Course in Adamawa State.

According to a statement issued by NYSC Director, Press and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, the deceased redeployed from Adamawa to Kano State and were returning to Kaduna after the completion of their registration when the incident happened.

NYSC DG, Brigadier General Muhammad Kaku Fadah, during a condolence visit to the bereaved families in Kaduna on Thursday, July 21, commended the patriotic spirit of the deceased Corps Members who paid the supreme sacrifice while serving their fatherland and prayed for the repose of their souls.

The DG also visited two other corps members that survived the accident but are currently receiving treatment at the 44 Military Hospital in Kaduna and prayed for their quick recovery. He added that the Scheme would do everything possible to put a smile on their faces.
