As Its Candidate Emerges the Overall Best 2023 WASSCE Candidate in Nigeria! The eighteen-year-old Miss Whiskey Orevaoghene of Topfaith International Secondary School, Mkpatak, Akwa Ibom State received the West African Examinations Council National Distinction/Merit Award as she emerged the Overall Best 2023 WASSCE candidate in Nigeria with the Total T-Score of 628.3248 from scoring 9-straight A1’s in the examination.
The Awards were presented in the 62nd Annual Meeting of the Nigeria National Committee (NNC) of the West African Examinations Council, (WAEC) held at the National Teachers’ Institute (NTI) Conference Hall, Kaduna State on Thursday November 21, 2024. Among the three distinguished performances in the May/June, 2023 WASSCE, Whiskey was also honoured as the Best Female Candidate in the examination while Topfaith International Secondary School, Mkpatak received Omo N’ Oba Coronation Trophy for producing the Best Female Candidate, 2023. Recall that Topfaith had received the same award in 2022 for producing the Best Male Candidate in the 2022 WASSCE.

The first ever female winner of the InterswitchSPAK4.0 National Science Competition and Valedictorian of the Topfaith Class of 2023, Whiskey Orevaoghene is currently a second year student, studying medicine and surgery at the Univerisity of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. She is an all-round scholar.
In recognition of Whiskey’s outstanding achievement as a young scholar, the organizers of National Education and Award Programme (NEAP) in conjunction with the Federal Ministry of Education, during its national awards ceremonies, 2024 invited and honoured Whiskey with award and a cash prize.
Whiskey Orevaoghene is one of the many Topfaith Schools’ scholars who are shining examples of the Topfaith academic excellence philosophies and orientation in national and international competitions and examinations.
