100% of tuition fee waiver each semester, plus $8000 annual living stipend

Requirements for UQ Refugee and Humanitarian Scholarship Qualification

You’re eligible if you:

  • have received an offer to study an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program that starts in Semester 2, 2022
  • met the academic and English Language requirement for your chosen program of study
  • live in Australia and are currently on a valid Bridging Visa ‘E’ (subclass 050), Temporary Protection Visa (subclass 785) or a Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (subclass 790).

We'll consider: 

  • academic performance
  • financial needs
  • personal qualities
  • any other evidence which may be deemed relevant to your studies.

How to Apply

Interested and qualified? Go to The University of Queensland on survey.app.uq.edu.au to apply

Apply using the online application form.

You'll need a:

  • copy of your UQ offer letter
  • copy of your current visa 
  • personal statement addressed 'To whom it may concern' dated and signed
  • Centrelink statement (if applicable). If you receive other financial assistance please upload a statement to explain
  • copy of last 3 most recent payslips (if currently employed). If you're unemployed please upload a statement to explain
  • references from employer, community organisation, academic or any other relevant group that wishes to support your scholarship application (if applicable).

You can also submit award/degree certificates. If you've already supplied these when you applied we'll access them through your admission records.
