A non-governmental organisation identified as The People’s Community Development Initiative, PCODI in a statement signed by their president Don Anthony Hamattan has condemned the idea of JAMB asking candidates to purchase scratch cards for the checking of their results, describing it as a crime against humanity and called on President Goodluck Jonathan and the supervising Minister of Education, Barr Nyesom Wike to order JAMB to desist from such.
The statement further stated that it is the responsibility of JAMB as a parastatal under the ministry of education to publish the results of candidates who have paid and sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
According to the statement, “We must stop creating unnecessary problems for Nigerians in the name of governance and bureaucracy. How many scratch cards did those in government buy during their time? Those introducing stiffer and unnecessary measures for Nigerians and their children are enemies of the public.”
