Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has called on the general public to be wary of online reports making the rounds that it is currently recruiting and paying grants to Nigerian students.
In a statement issued by the acting director, public affairs of TETFund, Mr. Abdulmumin Oniyangi, the fund advised stakeholders and students to be cautious of the activities of fraudsters who pose in the name of TETFund to defraud Nigerians.
Oniyangi implored the public to be vigilant and verify any claim by individuals or groups as the Fund’s mandate does not include the provision of grants to Nigerian students, but rather, the rehabilitation, restoration, and consolidation of tertiary education in Nigeria.
