This is to inform all fresh and returning students of Tai Solarin University of Education that the management of the institution has been announced as a result of the suspension of the ASUU strike embarked upon by all ASUU members. The resumption date 2024 for fresh and returning students has now been announced.
According to the management, both fresh and returning students for are to resume for the continuation of the previous academic session that was put on halt due to the ASUU strike by university lecturers of various higher institutions.
Due to the disagreement between ASUU and the Federal government owing to failure of the FG to sign the 2009 agreement, university lecturers under ASUU went on strike since 14th February, 2022. Due to the lackadaisical attitude from the FG and the strong will of ASUU, the strike lingered until 14th October when it was called off as a result of the intervention of the speaker of the house of representative.
The academic activities for the 2024/2025 academic session has been designed to run for a period of 4 months approximately. All academic and non academic activities have been scheduled to take place within the 4 months period.
TASUED RESUMPTION DATE FOR FRESH AND RETURNING STUDENTS
The university management hereby informs all students that the University will resume normal academic activities with effect from 8th January, 2024.
Students are advised to be law abiding and continue with their studies at their various places of abodes as school will resume as stated above.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Payment of school fees and acceptance fee plus all compulsory registrations for fresh and returning students would kick off immediately upon resumption.
If there are adjustments in TASUED resumption date for 2024/2025 academic session, the management will duly inform us and I shall make changes where necessary.
