The Governing Council of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State has confirmed the appointment of Mr. Kamil Adekunle Abayomi Ogunyemi as the new Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council of the University while Mrs. Faustina Adesola Oyesiku is the University Librarian.

Mr.Ogunyemi joined the services of the then Tai Solarin College of Education in November 1990 as Assistant Registrar before the College transformed into a University and by dint of hard work, rose to the pinnacle of his career.
Mr. Ogunyemi has served in various units and departments in the University and until his appointment as the Registrar, he was the Deputy Registrar, Council and General Administration Division.
He attended Nawair-Ud-Deen Grammar School, Abeokuta between 1972 and 1976. He proceeded to the then Ogun State College of Education, Ijebu Ode for his National Certificate in Education which he completed in 1982. His zeal for education propelled him to the University of Ibadan, Ibadan for his Bachelor of Education (Hons.) in Adult Education where he graduated in 1987. He also had his Master of Education in Adult Education from the same University in 1988.

Mr. Ogunyemi belongs to numerous professional bodies which includes Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered); Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) and Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) among others.
The Registrar, who has a vast knowledge in University Administration, has attended numerous national and international conferences, trainings and seminars.
He loves reading, playing chess, volleyball and tennis.
In the same vein, the new University Librarian, Mrs. Faustina Adesola Oyesiku attended St. Louis Grammar School, Ibadan between 1971 and 1976. She proceeded to the Polytechnic, Ibadan for her advanced Level Studies and later gained admission to the University of Ibadan where she bagged Bachelors of Arts (Hons.) in History in 1981 and Master of Arts in Library Studies from the same University in 1983. She is currently a Doctoral student at the Lead City University, Ibadan.
Mrs. Oyesiku began her career as a Librarian at the then Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye in January 1984 and has since held various positions as a Librarian in the University.
She was the Head, Obafemi Awolowo College of Health Science Library, Sagamu; Head of the University Law Library for 18 years, Acting College Librarian, Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, Deputy University Librarian, Olabisi Onabanjo University and Acting University Librarian, Olabisi Onabanjo University.
Mrs. Oyesiku belongs to various professional bodies which includes Nigerian Library Association; Nigerian Association of Law Libraries; NLA Cataloguing, Classification and Indexing as well as Committee of University Librarians in Nigerian Universities (CULNU).
The University Librarian is the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Library and Information Science and Associate Editor, International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research.
