216 illegal higher institutions operating in Asaba and Okpanam metropolis were last week discovered by the delta state government.
The Police Public Relation Officer in the state DSP Celestina Kalu has confirmed that the police are presently on the trail of 13 owners of these illegal higher institutions operating in the state after they have extorted and defrauded their students of huge sum of money running into millions.
Some of the illegal and unregistered schools include : Millicent School of Catering, Prudent Vocational Institute, St. Dream School Catering, Noble Computer Institute, Easy Computer School Agbor, Anslem Computer School Ogwashi-Uku, Cubean ICT Academy Issele-Uku, Global Maritime Academy Ogoni-Olomu, Rolof Computer Ltd Warri, Marlydia Institute of Vocational and Management Studies Udu, Akor-Bek Institute of Vocational and Management Studies Udu, Conarina Maritime and Transport Technology Abraka, and JD Computer Tech Ogwashi-Uku.
Parents and students are advised not to patronise these institutions as they will be doing so at their own risks.
