Sola Sobowale Marriage

Mummy Sola is married to Oludotun Sobowale who was the previous business executive director of EKO Hospital, before relocating to England. The couple have five children together.

She spoke concerning her children schooling abroad;

When the youngsters were still young and growing, Sola took an extended break from Nollywood to take care of her children. She and her husband relocated them from Nigeria to England.

When she was asked why she did all of that, then she gave the reply:

I love Nigeria. Nigeria is the greatest country in the whole wide world. I don’t know why people don’t want to measure in Nigeria.

I put my children in the best schools because education is the only legacy you’ll leave your children. However, I left for the united kingdom over twenty years ago, and also the reason is simple; Mo lo tunojo ale mi seni (I went to prepare for my future).

I was paying on the brink of 1,000,000 Naira per term for 3 children here, but once I hear some graduates in Nigeria speak, their grammatical blunders saddens my heart. this is often in addition to having children spend seven years studying a four year course, courtesy of the regular strikes.

So, I took them to study abroad and came home to continue my career, but I always kept tabs on the youngsters . Therefore, I don’t do mobile phones. I do landline. which is just because motherhood goes beyond having children.

A mother must do a job that gives her time to show family values. By doing landline, i do know when my children awaken in the morning, once they head to school, and once they close at college . I call them on their landline, and that they must pick it. As time went on, I realized that wasn’t enough. So, one faithful day, I decided to go visit them in England, and watch them very closely. So i said within my self that fame and all of these celebrities stuff must be kept aside first.

Now they’ve successfully graduated. Mission accomplished, I can now get back to work which is why i’m here. I left Nollywood to take good care of my children; children aren’t asked to change state so once you have them, you want to lookout for of them. I could not do two things at a time, meaning I knew it was a difficult task to face both my career and carry out my responsibility as a mother. So, I had to sacrifice one for the opposite. I even have got five children so I had to take care of them. i left Nigeria for England because I wanted the best for my children, education-wise. Today, I have got an accountant, advertising practitioner, business management expert and an engineer. That’s really amazing.
