Six FOUYE students arrested for cultism

Six students have been arrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad(RRS) Ekiti State Police Command, in Oye Ekiti for their involvement in cult-related activities.

The suspects, all students of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti were arrested on Tuesday, March 1st, at about 08:30pm, after the police received an intelligence report that some members of Denorsemen Secret Cult Group were holding a meeting in their hideout in Oye-Ekiti.

The suspected cultists were identified as - Omole Paul(21yrs), Okoro Wisdom(22yrs), David Makinlola(20yrs), Egbabo Kester(22yrs), Raymond Ejekwu(21yrs), and Daniel Chiwumba(28yrs).

They were also said to have confessed to being Indian hemp smokers during interrogations. Two cutlasses, one hammer, two cups of loud hemp, three wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp, and different criminal charms were found in their possession.
