Scarlet Gomez is a star actress in the Nigerian movie industry. Before any of that however, she has been a musician and a beauty queen. She is most noted for her role in the Africa Magic TV Series, Flatmates. She played the role of ‘Fadekemi.’ She won the Miss United Nations Tourism pageant in December 2012 in Kingston, Jamaica. That opened the door for her to work as a model with several modeling agencies. She then went on to record her first studio album, The Scarlet Letter, in 2016.

After that she turned her attention to acting, and has gone on to feature in many movies and soap operas; thus winning the love and admiration of the Nigerian and African audience. But how did she come to find herself in the movie industry?

Scarlet Gomez was born in Lagos on May 12, 1990’s. She was born into the family of Toks Shotade, a renowned music producer and sound engineer, who worked with many of the top musicians of times past. She attended primary and secondary school in Lagos, and when it was time higher education she went to the University of Lagos, where she studied Business Administration.

She explained that she spent a lot of time with her father in the studio, and this steered her towards music as a career path. Besides she grew up around musicians; they frequented their home to see her father.

Scarlet Gomez went into modeling when she was in school; and as a result she participated in several pageants. Of all the pageants she participated in, the most memorable was Miss United Nations Tourism pageant, which was held in December 2012, in Kingston, Jamaica.

She then became a video vixen; showcasing her beautiful face on the videos of some popular songs such as “Love Song” by Timi Dakolo, “Bartender” by Naeto C and M.I, “Eziokwu” by Lynxx featuring Phyno, and “Run My Race” by Burna Boy.
