The Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education, Kumbotso, Kano has been allocated 2,000 slots by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for admission into the university for the 2024/2025 academic session.
This was announced by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Yahaya Bunkure, who noted that this figure is higher than the 1,740 students admitted last year.
The university has set a minimum cut-off mark of 145 for admission, which is higher than the national minimum of 140 set by JAMB.
However, Prof. Bunkure emphasized that scoring 145 marks does not guarantee automatic admission, as the university will prioritize students with higher scores, especially in competitive subject areas.
Additionally, the university has invested N370 million in constructing new lecture halls, staff rooms, and other facilities.
Prof. Bunkure also warned students against engaging in cultism or unregistered associations, as the university has a zero-tolerance policy for indiscipline and misconduct.
