The management of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State (RUGIPO), has announced the date for the resumption of academic activities for the second semester, 2019/2020 academic session.

Amid the tension among the students of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo state (RUGIPO) formerly the Ondo state Polytechnic for their resumption for the second semester of the unconcluded 2019/2020 academic session, the polytechnic has finally declared Monday, 18th of January, 2021 for the resumption of students.
The declaration was made known by the school Dean of Students’ Affairs, Mr Henry Olu-braimoh in a telephone interview with Journalist.
According to him, the resumption of the students of RUGIPO has been rescheduled to Monday, 18th of January, 2021 following the directive of the Federal Government of Nigeria to prevent the widespread of the deadly Corona Virus Diseases (COVID-19) at the moment.

Also, he confirmed that only the members of staff of the Polytechnic resumed last Monday.
It is recalled that the scourge of COVID-19 prompted the Federal Government (FG) last year to pend the reopening of schools across the federation till Monday, 18th of January, 2021.
All students of the Polytechnic were urged to get themselves prepared to resume for the new semester.
