Duration and Eligibility: Key Information for Aspiring Candidates
Programme Duration and Learning Environment
The Pre-degree programme is designed to be completed within two semesters, or one full academic year. The classes will be conducted in a face-to-face format at Rivers State University’s main campus in Port Harcourt.
Admission Prerequisites
Candidates aiming for admission into this Pre-degree Programme must possess at least five ‘O’ Level Credits in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics, obtained either in one or two sittings from SSCE/GCE conducted by WAEC and NECO. For Basic Medicine courses, the five ‘O’ Level Credits must be obtained in one sitting.
Additionally, successful candidates are required to register for the 2023/2024 JAMB/UTME examinations, choose appropriate subject combinations, and meet the minimum UTME cut-off mark specified by Rivers State University.

After paying the non-refundable application fee of N15,000 (Fifteen Thousand Naira), the online form must be completed, and it is mandatory to include a reachable phone number.

The application window closes on Friday, 29th December 2023. Upon completion of the online application, candidates should assemble the following documents:
- Photocopy of the downloaded application form
- O’ Level Result
- Age Declaration
- Two passport-sized photographs
- Local Government Area Identification
- JAMB Registration Number
