The Vice-Chancellor has received with dismay a publication from the Department Of Office and Information Management for dress code for final year students. The purported timetable for dress code is illegal, uncivilized and unknown to the norms and practices of the University.
I am directed to remind all Deans and Heads of Department that only the Faculty or Law has senate approved dress code for fts students. All other Faculties and Departments do not have any approved dress code.
For the avoidance of doubt, any Faculty (other than the Faculty of Law) that imposes any form of uniform on their students, run the risk of facing a stern disciplinary action.
By a copy of this memo, all students (other than the Faculty of Law) are hereby directed to write the second semester examination and participate in other academic activities in their normal decent dressing
Kindly adhere strictly to this directive.
