Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic, located in Bori, has officially commenced the sale of admission forms for their part-time National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes. Aimed at the 2023/2024 Academic Session, this initiative offers a variety of specialisations across several study centres.
Centres and Programmes
Centres for Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic’s Part-Time Education
The institution has earmarked two key centres for its part-time educational endeavours:
- Bori Centre – Offers a weekend programme
- RIVPOLY Port-Harcourt Centre – Located at Government Technical College and provides an evening programme.
Duration of Programmes
- The ND and HND Programmes at Bori Centre will span a minimum of three academic sessions, each having two semesters.
- Programmes offered at the Port-Harcourt Centre will have a duration of a minimum of two academic sessions, but will run on a trimester system.

Entry Requirements
National Diploma (ND) Requirements
- Five credit passes in WASSCE, GCE O-Level, SSCE, NECO, or their equivalent, including English and Mathematics.
- Good passes in City and Guild, National Technical Certificate (NTC), and National Technical Education Board (NABTEB) may be considered for Engineering and Technology Courses.
- Candidates with pending results may apply.
Higher National Diploma (HND) Requirements
- ND with a minimum grade of Lower Credit in the relevant field.
- Entry requirement for the corresponding ND programme.
- A one-year, certified Post-ND Industrial Work Experience.
- Exceptional cases: ND holders with a Pass grade and two years of field experience may be considered.
Application Procedure
How to Apply
- Online Application: Access the Ken Poly application portal and follow the prompts.
- Payment: A non-refundable fee of N20,000 must be paid online using Verve or Master cards. Additional charges for portal and bank services are N1,500 and N300 respectively.
- Document Upload: Candidates must upload scanned copies of academic qualifications, birth certificates, and passport photos.
