In a meeting on Friday, 18th of June, 2021 by Management of the College to appraise the on-going protest embarked upon by students, Management took a decision to inform all students of Rivers State College of Health Science and Management Technology, Oro-Owo, Rumueme, Port Harcourt that the College has been closed down with immediate effect.
Consequently, all students are hereby advised in their own interest to vacate the College including the hostels immediately. This is to protect lives and properties in the College and around the College host community because of a prolonged protest by students which started since Tuesday 15 of June, 2021 and still on-going till date.
This protest has continued, despite the various appeals made to the students by members of the Management Committee to end the protest and efforts so far made by Management to address their agitations.
