Richard Eyimofe Evans Mofe-Damijo who is well-known as RMD. He is a renowned Nigerian actor and former Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State. RMD’s Biography
Mofe-Damijo was given birth to in Aladja community of Udu Kingdom, near Warri, Delta State. He schooled at Midwest College, Warri and Anglican Grammar School and was also a member of the Drama Club. He got admitted into the University of Benin to further his education and studied Theatre Arts. In 1997 Mofe-Damijo returned to the tertiary institution to study law at the University of Lagos and graduated in 2004.
After graduating from the university, Mofe-Damijo was a part of a program titled “Tv soap opera” in the late 80’s called Ripples. Before then, he had a period of time spent with Concord Newspapers and Metro Magazine as a reporter. Out of Bounds was the first film for which he got a writer/producer credit. In at the maiden edition of the African Movie Academy Awards Mofe-Damijo won the award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in the year 2005. The Iconic actor is the founder of RMD production, White Water Limited and RMD Foundation. RMD production is an entertainment platform that produces creative content, television and radio productions, broadcasting e.t.c. The fine hunk produces his own drama series, The Mr. X Family Show, kiddies show Bed time with Grandpa, and talk/live shows Bridging the gap and Made in Warri. White Water Limited is a Nigerian PR outfit that deals with public relations consultancy.

Mofe-Damijo was chosen as the Special Adviser of Culture and Tourism to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, then in 2008, he became the commissioner for the Culture and Tourism of Delta State, Nigeria in 2009. His tenure ended in 2015.

Mofe-Damijo was wedded to a Nigerian journalist/publisher, May Ellen-Ezekiel (MEE). After she passed on in the year 1996, Richard Mofe-Damijo then got married to TV celebrity, Jumobi Adegbesan, who later left TV for the corporate world. Mofe-Damijo currently has four kids in total from different wives. Two of his kids of which were from his present wife Jumobi Adegbesan and the other two children from his first wife.
