The Chancellor of the Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu (OUI), Osun State, Dr Abdul-Rahman Adedoyin has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to adhere to the call for the restructuring of Nigeria, stressing that investment in education is a sure path to development.
Dr Adedoyin said that Nigerian universities should have developed better after 60 years of independence and maintained that true federalism would address most of the challenges facing the nation’s tertiary institutions.
According to him, true federalism would help the development pace of the country because the federating units would have more resources to invest in the education sector and other key sectors as well.
He further explained that if the country was restructured, each state would be able to exploit its resources, be positively impacted and give a part of it to the federal government.
