Renaissance University Ugbawka, Enugu State, is proud to announce the full re-accreditation of five of its academic programs. This significant achievement was confirmed in a letter signed by the Exective Secretary of NUC, Dr J Maiyaki on June 6, 2024, received by the University's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Thaddeus Eze. The re-accreditation comes as a testament to the institution's dedication to providing quality education and its continuous efforts to maintain high academic standards.
The programs that received re-accreditation are Law, Economics, History and International Studies, Computer Science, and Accounting. Prof. Eze expressed his joy over this milestone, highlighting the university's commitment to excellence and the giant strides made to ensure that Renaissance University remains a beacon of quality education in Nigeria.
"Our primary goal is to provide high quality American College System format University education to our students, and this re-accreditation is a clear vindication that we are on the right path. We will continue to work tirelessly to enhance our service delivery and uphold the high standards set by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and other regulatory agencies", Prof. Eze remarked.
Renaissance University Ugbawka, Enugu State was established in 2005. It is among the first private universities approved by the NUC in Nigeria and the first in the South East. Currently, the university offers 16 undergraduate programs and various postgraduate programs, contributing significantly to the educational landscape of the Nigeria. The re-accredited programmes that achieved full Accreditation status are: Law, Computer Science, Accountancy, History and International Science and Political Science.
In addition to the re-accredited programmes that are already trail blazers, Renaissance University also offer undergraduate courses in Nursing Science, Mass Communication, Biochemistry, Business Administration, Psychology, Banking and Finance, Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, and Industrial Physics. The university's diverse academic portfolio is designed to cater for the evolving needs of students and the broader Nigerian society.
Furthermore, Renaissance University provides a comprehensive fee package that covers tuition, feeding and accommodation, ensuring students have a comfortable and conducive learning environment. To ease the financial burden on families, the university allows tuition fees to be paid in four installments. This is to make quality University education accessible to a wider range of students irrespective of economic background.
