Understanding the RecycleUp Nigeria Initiative
RecycleUp Nigeria is more than just a programme; it’s a movement towards creating a cleaner, more prosperous, and environmentally responsible nation. By focusing on key sectors such as the Built Environment, Organic Material and Biowaste, Energy, Electronics and ICT, Packaging and Plastics, Textiles, Water, and Food and Agriculture, the initiative aims to drive Nigeria’s transition towards a circular economy by an ambitious 200% by 2025.
What the Programme Offers
The benefits of participating in RecycleUp Nigeria are manifold:
- Comprehensive Education and Training: Participants will gain in-depth knowledge on circular economy principles, sustainable waste management, and environmental sustainability.
- Mentorship: Access to experienced mentors will provide invaluable guidance and support throughout the programme.

Eligibility Criteria
To be a part of this transformative journey, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Nigerian aged between 21 and 40 years.
- Have a genuine interest and passion for the circular economy and a desire to contribute to sustainable development in Nigeria.
- Demonstrate leadership potential and a strong commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.
- Be ready to commit at least 5 hours weekly and actively participate in the programme.
- Have access to a reliable internet connection, data, and necessary technology devices for virtual activities and meetings.
