Reasons many students often fail

The rate at which students fail these days has become a cause for worry. Students failure lies in so many factors some includes :

1.   Lack of proper study method.

Most students fail as a result of poor studying habits. Studying without a defined method and goal is rampant among students these days. Some do not read until a few weeks to examination and this is a plan to fail. Students' ways of understanding vary, some are able to assimilate when reading with study partners, some when they study alone. Discovering your study method is one of the methods to avoid failure as a student.

2 . Lack of passion.

Students find it hard to study hard as a result of a lack of vision and passion. They fail to recognize a driving force to push them to study hard. Some do not discover what they like early enough therefore they go for courses that do not interest them. Like every other thing, passion is paramount for the attainment of results. Your zeal to learn and achieve your dreams serves as an impetus to avoid failure in academics. Being passionate about your academic goal is what most students lack these days. Students with passion go the extra mile to search for knowledge thereby improving their academic performances.

3. Misguided information

Students do fail as a result of a lack of adequate examination information. Lack of basic knowledge of examinations most often leads to students not doing well in examinations. Information is power, this is easily illustrated in students' life. The essence of education is to train the mind to become creative. Having the required information gives way to the improvement of students' knowledge. Students who lack the right information are most misguided as they derail from the right path in academic pursuances.

4. Poor preparation.

Inadequate preparations for examinations from both the teacher's and students' side is a big cause of examination failure. Students do not have access to the required materials for examinations most times causes poor preparation. Students' academic success lays on the P5 formula ( Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance ). How well prepared a student determines how well such a student will perform. Inadequacy in preparation is a chief cause of failure among students. The same way manna does not fall from heaven is the same way knowledge does not fall from heaven.

5. Pressure

The pressure of success, pressure from friends, family, and sometimes oneself is what every student should strive to overcome before sitting for any examination. Being under pressure causes lot of damages to students as some find themselves forgetting what they have read before. Pressure among students is something not every student can adequately deal with. Easing pressure from students and replace it with confidence helps students avoid failure from pressure.
