The Kano State House of Assembly has passed a bill for the establishment of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso College of Advance and Remedial Studies.
It was learnt that the bill was passed unanimously by the members.
According to the Majority Leader of the assembly and member representing Rano Constituency, Alhaji Kabiru Alhassan, the decision to establish the college was necessary to help students are not able to gain admission into university or other higher institutions due to O'level deficiencies.
“The college was provided with a laboratory with all the needed equipment installed in it.
“Also, a research centre was provided in the college to allow them carry out any kind of research”, he stated.
Alhassan said specialists in education from Bayero University and Wudil University of Technology would be given the responsibility of moving the college to higher levels.
