ABSTRACT
This project work involves the construction of a bookshelf that is going to be use for storing of books and it is being constructed with wood and nail. The wood used for the construction was seasoned mohagany wood that has preservatives and without defect. During the construction of the bookshelf both mechanical processes was used to produce a suitable bookshelf. The following are some of the tools and equipment used in the construction which includes hammer or driving the nails, saws for cutting the woods, chisels and mallet for –opening the  joints, some of the  joints used in the construction includes a vertical and horizontal member of the shelves, terron joints, butt joints at the  top cover member of the shelf and box joint. The bookshelf is provided with a glass door at the front side of it and the frame of the glass have a key for purpose of locking to avoid unwanted persons from having access to anything stored in the bookshelf and the lower side of the bookshelf is constructed in a drawer foremost having ke9ys and handles. The back of the bookshelf is made with a plywood and top, down and other components of it is made up of soft and hard woods with different dimensions. The total width of the bookshelf is 1500mm (5ft) and the total light of the bookshop is 2100mm (7ft).
