1.1       Background of the Study
It is accepted that the education of a child is a responsibilities of the home and the school setting. It is because of the above assertion that led to the introduction of the Parent Teachers Association (P.T.A.) in the restate of secondary school setting which dates back to the former east central take over of schools in 1970. before then, there were such events as parents day or open day on government and voluntary agencies. The administrative roles of parents teachers association in the moral development of secondary school students was a renewed conception of the east central state public education edict 1970, and it stated that the commission for schools shall ensure that administrative roles of parents teachers association is sponsored in every school to provides intimate supervision of the performance of the school, from the above assertion it can be seen that the government and public recognized the effectiveness and usefulness of the administrative roles of parent teachers association in the moral development of secondary school students since they engage or contributes in the supervision of the academic and attitudinal performance of the students. It seeks to move the false and out dated picture which parents and teachers have one another then making it possible for them to work as partness and fruitful collaborators in the moral development of the secondary school student. In this regard, the home, the school and the society are now recognized and constituting the three corners of a triangle that supports our educational system in moral development of our secondary school students- ideally parents teacher association is a forum for nourishing parents interest in curriculum discipline the secondary school students social activities and the qualities of class-room teaching. It is a voluntary and welfare administrative roles of parent / guardians of secondary school students and the teachers of the school.
