PLASU Registration Procedure For Fresh Students 2024/2025 Academic Session

Plateau State University (PLASU) registration procedure for both fresh UTME and DE students for the 2024/2025 academic session. This post will intimate all fresh students on the necessary steps to be taken in registering for this academic session. This will clear all doubts and confusions associated with registering for your courses, hostel registration, payment of acceptance and school fees.

Please note that this information is vital for both fresh students only so all that is required of you is to follow the step-by-step procedures below and you are good to go.

Upon registration, freshers are expected to have the following documents as they would be needed for either uploads to PLASU admission portal or for imputing necessary details during the registration process.

PLASU Registration Procedures For Fresh Students 2024/2025 Academic Session

The registration of successful candidates admitted for 2024/2025 academic session commences on Monday, 4th November, 2024 to end on Friday 15th November, 2024. Late registration will last between Monday 18th, to Friday 22nd November, 2024.

Meanwhile, all candidates who applied for admission into PLASU are to ensure that they upload their SSCE result (WAEC and/or NECO) on the JAMB portal, without which they will not be considered for admission.

The following are the registration procedures for the fresh students, which should be strictly adhered to:

Admitted candidates are to pay acceptance and medical screening fee of Twenty-Five Thousand Naira (₦25,000.00) only by following the following procedure:

Step 1 – Visit the University portal: sis.plasu.edu.ng

Step 2 – Click Login to access the portal and fill in your Valid/Active email address and Password as used during the Post UTME/ DE Screening

Step 3 – For card payment, click the button ‘Pay Acceptance Fee’

Step 4 – Click the button “Generate Payment Invoice” and an RRR will be generated

Step 5 – Click the button “Proceed to Payment” to make payment using your card

Step 6 – Pay a non-refundable Acceptance Fee of Twenty-Five Thousand Naira (N 25,000)

Step 7 – For Cash payments, visit the closest bank, use the RRR to make a deposit. Make sure Plateau State University, Bokkos is the recipient.

Please note that RRR to be generated for all forms of payment must be through sis.plasu.edu.ng 

Step 8 – Go to Bursary Department with evidence of payment of acceptance/ medical screening fee and obtain receipt/Authentication.

Step 9 – Go to the University Clinic for medical screening and obtain certificate of fitness.

Step 10 – Proceed to the Central Registration Officer in the Academic Affairs Division of the Registry with evidence of payment of acceptance fee and the following documents for screening and clearance:

  • JAMB UTME or DE Slip
  • Original O’ Level Result/DE Entry qualification
  • Original Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age
  • Original Indigene Certificate
  • Two (2) recent Passport Photograph
  • Medical report from the University Clinic
  • WAEC/ NECO scratch card for result verification
  • Complete student’s biodata form (to be issued by Central Registration Officer).

Step 11 – Candidate then proceeds to the faculty where the Faculty Registration Officer checks and screens the documents/qualifications for clearance.

Step 12 – After being cleared by the Faculty Registration Officer, the candidate proceeds to pay Tuition fee (see fee schedule below) through any of the channels as in one (1) above.

Step 13 – The candidate then presents evidence of payment (RRR print out) of tuition fee to the Bursary Department for clearance.

Step 14 – The prospective student proceeds on to the University’s students’ portal through (sis.plasu.edu.ng), where he or she enters details of his or her biodata and print out; after which a matriculation number is generated for the candidate automatically.

Step 15 – Log on to the University portal for Course Registration and then print the completed course Registration Form.

Step 16 – All students should pay the Students Union Government (SUG) yearly dues of One Thousand Naira (N1,000) into UBA Account Number: 2062903163 and submit the evidence of payment to the SUG secretariat. Payment can also be done in cash to the SUG officials at the point of registration.

Step 17 – The candidate returns to the Central Registration Officer at the Academic Affairs Division of the Registry Department to submit photocopies of all credentials listed in (4) above, along with evidence of payment of tuition fees, Copies of Course registration form, Students Information form, Clearance Slip, SUG payment receipt and two (2) recent passport photographs for opening of file.

Step 18 – The candidate’s name is then written in the registration Book by the Registration Officer.

Step 19 – The Candidate reports to Students Affairs Directorate to process his/her accommodation and obtain Students Handbook.

Step 20 – Candidates who have been allocated accommodation will follow the payment procedure as in one (1) above to make payment for the hostel of choice. Take evidence of payment to Bursary to obtain receipt/authentication.

Step 20 – Report to the Security Division to process and collect his/her identity card.

Step 20 – Candidate reports to the University Library for documentation.

Step 20 – Candidate proceeds to the University Health Services for documentation and opening of file after filing the Health Services Form which can be obtained from the clinic.

All returning students are required to pay their fees using the procedure outlined in 1 and 2 above. Thereafter, register courses online, print five copies of duly completed course forms for processing by the Academic office in the Registry, Faculty Officers and Departmental registration officers.

Any issue arising from the Registration exercise that cannot be resolved by the Registration Officer should be channeled to the Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs Division, and subsequently to the Registrar, if need be.

ACCOMMODATION

It is compulsory for all fresh students to pay for accommodation and live on the campus. Accordingly, the fee for accommodation is as follows:

  • Hostel A (Female TETFund) – ₦50,000
  • Hostel B (Female NEEDS)   – ₦40,000
  • Hostel C (Female Chalets)   – ₦30,000
  • Hostel D (Male Chalets)     – ₦30,000
