Lagos State University (LASU) held its first virtual matriculation ceremony for the 2020/2021 fresh Students today, 14 October 2020, at the Buba Marwa Auditorium, main Campus Ojo.
It had in attendance the vice-chancellor of the institution, Honourable Justice George Adesola Oguntade and other University staff members.
In his welcome address, the vice-chancellor revealed that the institution recorded a total of 21,626 applicants for the 2020 admission screening exercise, but was only able to admit 7,968. He tasked the new students to consider themselves lucky to be among the chosen applicants. He also implored parents and guardians to keep up with their wards, as their support will go a long way in seeing them through life.
