A petrol tanker with loads of petrol went up in flames yesterday, Wednesday, August 26, around 9 pm in front of Federal polytechnic, Bauchi.
The tragic incident happened after the tanker, heading to offload its content from Bauchi to Mararaba Liman Katagum along Dass road struck a speed bump and lost control.
Two people reportedly sustained severe injuries and were rushed to the emergency centre of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital, Bauchi where they are currently being treated.
Firefighters were later deployed to the accident scene after being informed of the incident and the fire was put out.
