PDTF Rewards Twelve FUTO Students with Scholarships

A Federal Government Intervention Agency, the Petroleum Development Trust Fund (PDTF) has re-stated its determination in rewarding academic excellence in Nigerian tertiary institutions. In his remarks at the presentation ceremony held on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 to reward 12 undergraduate students of FUTO, the Executive Secretary, PTDF, Mallam Shehu commended the academic prowess of the FUTO students and their successful outing at the PTDF Scholarship Scheme.

The Executive Secretary, who was represented by the Deputy Manager, PTDF Abuja Mr. Garba Bako stated that PDTF was mandated to train brilliant Nigerians to be professionals in their various fields. He congratulated the beneficiaries and warned them of the acts that are capable of stripping them of the awards.

Speaking during the ceremony the Vice-Chancellor, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), thanked the Executive Secretary of the PDTF for the cordial relationship between the two organizations. She also congratulated the awardees and implored them to maintain the standards that earned the scholarships.

The twelve beneficiaries were later presented with scholarship award letters and one Hewlett Packard computer Laptops at the Council/Senate chamber of the University.
