UTME Entry Admission Guidelines

Requirements for UTME Entry

  1. A minimum score of 220 in the 2023 JAMB examination.
  2. O’ Level result (at least 5 credits, including Mathematics and English).
  3. Application submission via apply.pau.edu.ng
  4. Candidates must be at least 16 years old within the month the session commences (typically, academic sessions at Pan-Atlantic University start in October).

Courses and UTME Subject Requirements

School of Management and Social Sciences (SMSS) offers courses such as Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, and Finance. The requisite UTME subjects include English language, Mathematics, Economics, Financial Accounting/Commerce, or any other Arts or Social Science subject.

School of Media and Communication (SMC) offers Mass Communication and Information Science, and Media Studies. The required UTME subjects vary between courses, with English Language as a constant and a combination of three subjects from Arts, Social Science, Sciences, with Mathematics being advantageous for Information Science and Media Studies.

School of Science and Technology (SST) offers courses like Computer Science and Engineering (Electrical & Electronics and Mechanical). The required UTME subjects are English, Mathematics, Physics, and an additional subject, depending on the course.

Following our evaluation, an admission decision will be made within two weeks, and if positive, an offer letter will be sent. Acceptance of the offer should be indicated by making a deposit within two weeks. Successful candidates will receive a pre-arrival guide. Pan-Atlantic University Post UTME Screening Eligibility

  • Those who made Pan-Atlantic University their first choice in the 2023/2024 UTME Application form.
  • All other Candidates interested in studying at Pan-Atlantic University who did not select Pan-Atlantic University as their first choice.
  • Candidates must have obtained a JAMB score of 220 and above in the 2023/2024 UTME Examination.

Direct Entry Admission Guidelines

A. School of Management and Social Sciences

Available programmes:

  1. B.Sc. Business Administration
  2. B.Sc. Accounting
  3. B.Sc. Economics

Eligibility criteria for applicants:

  • Two ‘A’ level credits in relevant subjects.
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) in appropriate subjects.
  • NCE with merit in a related field.
  • OND in a related field.
  • HND/Degree in a related field.
  • ICAN-ATS 3 certificate (exclusively for B.Sc. in Accounting aspirants).

B. School of Media and Communication

Available programmes:

  1. B.Sc. Mass Communication
  2. B.Sc. Information Science and Media Studies (ISMS)

Eligibility criteria for applicants:

  • Two ‘A’ level credits in Arts or Social Sciences subjects (for Mass Communication).
  • Two ‘A’ level credits in Arts, Social Sciences, or Science subjects (for ISMS).
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) in relevant subjects.
  • NCE with merit in a relevant field.
  • OND in a relevant field.
  • HND/Degree in a relevant field.

C. School of Science and Technology

Available programmes:

  1. B.Sc. in Computer Science (requires two ‘A’ level passes, including Physics and Mathematics).
  2. B.Eng. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (requires passes in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at GCE ‘A’ level or equivalent).
  3. B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering (requires passes in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at GCE ‘A’ level or equivalent).

Direct Entry Application Process

  1. Buy the current JAMB Direct Entry Form online at www.jamb.org.ng.
  2. Visit apply.pau.edu.ng, sign up, log in, fill and submit the Direct Entry form.
  3. Pay the application fee of ₦5,000.00 or its equivalent.
  4. Send hard copies of relevant documents (OND/HND/NCE/Degree certificate, ‘A’ Level/ Diploma result, completed JAMB Direct Entry form printout, WAEC/GCE/SSCE/IGCSE/NECO) to:

  5. Ensure you meet our requirements before submission.
  6. Admission decisions will be made within two weeks of evaluation. Successful candidates will receive an offer letter.

  9. Admitted candidates should plan to arrive on campus a day before registration commences.
  10. Direct entry students begin at 200 level (second year), with the course duration being 3 years.

Inter-University Admission Guidelines

Pan-Atlantic University is open to accepting students wishing to transfer from another higher learning institution. However, admission for transfer students is competitive and only a limited number are admitted each year. Applicants should demonstrate past performance, values, and experiences indicative of a potential significant contribution to Pan-Atlantic University.

We strongly recommend that transfer applicants also apply to other universities due to the high likelihood of denial of admission at Pan-Atlantic University.

Inter-University Transfer Requirements

  • The transferring student must be a current student of the university from which the transfer is sought, with a clean disciplinary record.
  • A student transferring from another Nigerian University must have a JAMB score equal to or higher than the minimum score of PAU students admitted into their intended department in their admission year or the approved minimum JAMB score in the year of admission into the university.
  • The transferring student should meet the minimum Pan-Atlantic University and departmental entry requirements, achieved prior to entry into the university from which the transfer is being sought.
  • To qualify for consideration into 200 level, a transferring student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.50 on a 5.00 point scale. Students with a CGPA of not less than 1.50 may be considered for admission into 100 level.
  • The application should include the student’s transcript, which will be verified. If any irregularity is discovered in the documents provided by the students, such students shall be withdrawn from the University.
  • A student can only transfer into the same course of study – or a similar course, if applicable – that they were studying in their original university.
  • The number of students admitted via transfer should not exceed 10% of the number of students in the class they are joining.
  • All applications for inter-university transfer will remain open until the admissions process closes.

Application Process for Inter-University Transfer

  1. Purchase the current Late Registration/Regularization Form for transfer students at www.jamb.org.ng.
  2. Complete the transfer form and submit your printout to PAU.
  3. Access the PAU application form at apply.pau.edu.ng, sign up, log in, open the inter-university transfer form, fill it, and submit.
  4. Pay the application fee of ₦5,000.00 or its equivalent.
  5. Send hard copies of relevant documents (University Transcript, Admission Letter from the previous University, JAMB Official Admission Letter (for transfers from Nigerian universities), previous JAMB result slip, printout of JAMB Regularization Form, WAEC/GCE/SSCE/IGCSE/NECO) to:
