The Osun State chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), has condemned Sunday Asefon, the 45-year-old president of the Association for supporting President Muhammadu Buhari on the tenure extension of the police IGP for an additional three-months.
The NANS president had in a news conference in Abuja, on Monday, 15 February, criticized those against the tenure elongation of the IGP, stating that President Buhari was working in good faith.
The Osun state NANS JCC Agbogunleri Seun Michael, and Secretary, Ogunsakin Oluwafemi Sunday, while reacting to the statement, called it shameful and irresponsible that someone in a revered position as the NANS president would be defending such a fraud act.
They called on the NANS President to channel his activism to where it is needed.
