NBTE Approves 10 New Courses for Osun State Poly Iree

The Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has recently achieved a significant milestone with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) granting approval for 10 new courses. These courses span across the pivotal faculties of Engineering; Science, Information and Communication Technology; and Management Studies, marking a substantial expansion in the institution’s academic offerings.

The NBTE’s approval came after a meticulous Resources Inspection exercise conducted from 7th to 10th February 2024. The new programs approved at the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) levels include:

  • Mechatronics Engineering Technology
  • Water Resources Engineering Technology
  • Agricultural Technology
  • Geological Technology
  • Health Information Management
  • Public Administration
  • Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology (with options in Farm Power and Machinery, Soil and Water, and Post-Harvest)
  • Science Laboratory Technology (Physics with Electronics Option)

This approval enables the Osun State Polytechnic to commence these programs starting from the 2023/2024 Academic Session, offering students a broader array of career paths in science and technology.
