The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Professor Saburi Adejimi Adesanya, on behalf of Council, Senate and Management, invites the general public to the Convocation Ceremonies for the award of Higher Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas, First Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates.
The Ceremonies are scheduled for Monday8th and Tuesday,9th October, 2012 at the Otunba Gbenga Lecture Theatre, Main Campus of the University, Ago-Iwoye.
INFORMATION TO GRADUANDS
a) Graduands are expected to be physically present to receive their awards or be admitted to their degrees
b) Each graduand is to pay a sum of Five Thousand (N5, 000) Naira only for the Convocation Scroll/ Brochure and Ten Thousand (N10, 000) Naira refundable deposit for the gown.
c) All graduands and members of the convocation are expected to join the academic procession and convocation rehearsal on Friday, 5th October, 2012 before the actual ceremonies ,scheduled for Monday, 8th and Tuesday 9th October, 2012.
INVITATION CARD
Each graduand will receive one invitation card for a guest to the ceremony. Collection of Invitation cards and gowns starts on Wednesday, October 3rd October, 2012. Graduands in the Faculties of Arts, Law, Social and Management Sciences and Education are to collect their gowns at their Faculty Offices while those in the Faculties of Clinical Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, College of Agricultural Sciences and College of Engineering and Environmental Studies will be collecting theirs at the Directorate of Student Affairs, from the same date.
ACADEMIC GOWNS
Graduands will hire academic gowns (scrolls and order of proceeding) at the points stated above by paying the specified fees through Bank Draft written in favour of OOU Bursar into any of the following accounts;

Graduands are to return the academic gowns on or before Friday 12th , October, 2012 at the points where they were originally collected while they are to state their Bank Account Numbers for the refundable deposit of N10, 000. Failure to return the gowns to the University after the deadline will attract a penalty fee of N5,000 per week
