The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu has restated the commitment of his administration in the investment of technical education in the state.
Governor Akeredolu made this statement in Akure, adding that the move will create more jobs for the youths and keep them well engaged.
He said, “Our efforts on entrepreneurship and self-development of the youths shall be redoubled going further. The state government is more prepared than ever before, to provide the necessary atmosphere for human capital development.
“Similarly, our technical/vocational education sector shall receive better attention. In a matter of weeks, the government shall, alongside stakeholders, have a critical appraisal of the sector to strengthen it for the maximum benefits of our teeming youths. All over the world, vocations have made more meaningful impacts on society.
He also noted that all the schools (from primary to tertiary) in the state which had been shut since last week following the protest would remain shut until further notice.
