The Ondo State Government has issued a directive, barring all public primary and secondary school teachers in the state from enrolling their biological children in private schools. This according to the government was necessitated due to the continuous decline in the enrolment of students in state-run schools.
The directive was contained in a statement issued by the Head of Press and Information Services of SUBEB, Bisi Agboola, on Sunday, August 28, who stated that the government is concerned about the decline despite its investment in public schools.
The statement further stated that it has now become an offense to do so and any teacher found wanting will be sanctioned.
