Ogun Students Protest Fees Hike, Storm Amosun’s Office:
Students in Ogun State higher institutions under the aegis of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Ogun State chapter have called for reduction in their school fees. The students in their hundreds stormed the Oke Mosan office of Senator Ibikunle Amosun yesterday to register their displeasure over the fees.
Their leader, Falola Ahmed in a statement condemned the current fees saying it was outrageous and illogical for government to be charging hundreds of thousands in fees.
“Presently, Ogun State tertiary institutions’ fees are outrageous, absurd and illogical. We cannot keep mute pretending all is well. Any Nigerian government that does not pursue free education at all levels is Nigerian students’ enemy number one,” Falola said.
