The management of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife wishes to inform all candidates that participated in the post UTME screening exercise and passed after seeing their post UTME result that OAU admission list for 2024/2025 academic session is out.
Upon release of OAU admission list, candidates are always in a haste to confirm if they have been admitted. In this post I will be putting you through the step by step guide on how to check the current OAU admission list for 2024/2025 academic session, what is required for you to confirm if you have been admitted and how to use an alternative means of checking OAU admission list just in case you do not find your name on the admission list uploaded on the OAU portal.
OAU admission list checking procedure for 2024/2025 academic session is not different from method used in checking for last session. It is practically same method however, changes like the academic session and the batches in which Obafemi Awolowo University releases their admission list might be different.
Currently, OAU Admission list for 2024/2025 academic session is available both on OAU portal and the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) portal, an update will be carried out as soon as we confirm the admission list has been uploaded on their admission portal.
There are two method you can use in checking OAU admission list for 1st, 2nd and third or final list.
- Via OAU admission portal
- JAMB CAPS
I will be demonstrating how to check the OAU admission list via both methods mentioned above.
How To Check OAU Admission List
Follow the instruction below to check your admission status on JAMB Website:
Step 1:Visit OAU admission checking portal on https://eportal.oauife.edu.ng/login.php
Step 2: Type in your UTME Number
Step 3: Enter your password
Step 4: Select the academic session (i.e. 2024/2025)
Step 5: Click on ‘SUBMIT) button
METHOD 2
How to check OAU Admission List Via JAMB CAPS:
STEP 1:
Click on the JAMB CAPS portal and a page displaying where to insert your email address and password displays and add your details then click on the blue LOGIN button just directly underneath the password box.
STEP 2:
Upon login with your EMAIL and PASSWORD, your dashboard opens (Candidates Dashboard) this contains various menus and selections, here you will see a drop-down menu (Examination Year) just directly under the dashboard, click it and change it to the current year. then click on CHECK UTME/DE ADMISSION STATUS ON CAPS button and change the year of admission you want to confirm (Change to 2024 using the drop-down menu)
STEP 3:
Upon completing Steps 1 and 2, the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) page opens and on the left you will see a list of commands, click on CHECK ADMISSION STATUS link and a page opens for the next line of action.
STEP 4:
After clicking on Admission Status, you are to click on it to proceed to the next stage of confirming your admission status on JAMB CAPS.
STEP 5:
Upon completing Step 3, a page displaying your JAMB registration number is shown, you do not need to input your JAMB registration number any longer, all that is required of you is to click on the CHECK ADMISSION STATUS button. You will see a page displaying if you have been granted admission or not.
STEP 6: Click on the button CLICK TO CHECK ADMISSION STATUS. then a page displaying your current admission status is displayed, and that is where you either ACCEPT or REJECT the admission.
Upon checking this list, you are to wait for the upload on OAU’s website. After which you will be required to pay up OAU acceptance fee for fresh students.
This would serve as a proof that you have accepted this admission. Note that failure to comply with this directive within the stipulated time frame would mean automatic forfeiture of your admission.
