It has come to the notice of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH) Students' Union that a statement has been circulating regarding a planned protest scheduled for the 15th of September 2024, organized by a student body known as the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS). The statement further claims that the OAUSTECH Students’ Union Building is the secretariat for this movement.
The OAUSTECH Students' Union categorically disassociate itself from this information. We are not involved in the planning, organization. or endorsement of this protest in any capacity. Furthermore, we wish to clarify that there is no such. secretariat associated with NANS or any other external student body within the OAUSTECH premises.
We urge the general public to disregard any misinformation or unauthorized use of OAUSTECH's name and resources, The OAUSTECH Students' Union remains committed to the welfare and interest of ts students, while ensuring that all activities within the university are conducted in compliance with the institution's rules and regulations.
