The federal government has warned orientation camps of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), across the country of risking being shut down should the laid down COVID-19 protocols not be adhered to.
Mr. Sunday Dare, the Minister of Youth and Sports, gave the warning while speaking at the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 briefing on Monday, Jan 25. He said the government was concerned about the number of corps members recently infected with the virus, and camps who are found guilty of violating safety guidelines will be shut down, with corps members in that camp reposted to the adjoining state
He said the management of the NYSC cannot afford to risk the lives and health of the corps members.
