The attention of NYSC Management has been drawn to a fraudulent advertorial making the rounds on the social media, purported to have been issued by one Arua Ibiam, who claims to be on the staff list of the National Youth Service Corps.
The said advertorial which bears the NYSC logo, with the sole aim to deceive the gullible ones so as to part with their money assures Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) of the possibility of influencing or changing their states of deployment to preferred choices which of course must be at a cost.
The management wishes to caution all the PCMs, and indeed the general public to disregard the advertorial, for it is the handiwork of fraudsters, designed to scam unsuspecting ones.
Do not fall prey to scammers. Do well to read and study carefully the content of your Call-up letter for appropriate guidance.
Glean authentic information only from the NYSC official sources (new and traditional media).
As 66,000 of you prepare to commence Orientation Course across the States of the Federation, strive to adhere strictly to all the laid down rules and regulations guiding the operations of the NYSC Scheme, and in particular, COVID-19 safety protocols, predicated on social/physical distancing, use of facemask, appropriate washing of the hands with soap in running water for at less 20 seconds and the application of alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
May God be with you as you step on the threshold to serve the fatherland.
