NYSC notice to 2022 Batch 'C' Stream One corps members

The attention of NYSC Management has been drawn to adverts and notices making rounds in the social media requesting for payments from the unsuspecting public regarding deployment, posting and relocation of Corps Members.

NYSC wishes to state categorically that all services including deployment, posting, relocation and provision of kit items like NYSC uniforms among other services, to Corps Members while in camp are free and do not attract any fee.

Management hereby warns Members of the public especially Corps Members and Prospective Corps Members to beware of impostors that may wish to defraud them in the name of NYSC services.

Kindly visit all authentic NYSC Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Registration portal, website and telegram) for up-to-date information on our activities and programme.

The NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Muhammad Kaku Fadah wishes all Prospective Corps Members safe journey to their respective Orientation Camps as the Scheme commences the 2022 Batch 'C' Stream One Orientation Course.

Also, in view of the regimentation and physical demands of some activities of the NYSC Orientation programme, the management of the Scheme introduced presentation of Certificate of Fitness from recognised public health facilities by prospective Corps Members as requirement for registration at the Orientation Camp.

2. The essence was to enable Camp Officials manage those who are not fit to undertake certain activities in the Camp. This has been largely misunderstood, leading to extortion of some prospective Corps Members by fraudulent individuals in their bid to secure such documents some of which may not stand a test of integrity.

3. In order to avail the Scheme credible information on their health status and also protect them from exploitation by unscrupulous persons, prospective Corps Members will henceforth undergo fitness test at the NYSC Clinic at the Orientation Camp with effect from the 2022 Batch 'C' Orientation Course.

4. It is pertinent to note that the NYSC Orientation Camp Clinics across the nation are managed by the National Health Insurance Authority with the supervision of Consultants from tertiary health institutions.

5. Prospective Corps Members should note this information for compliance.
