The management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Cross River State, has reacted to claims made by the Cross River State Commissioner for Health, Bertha Edu that thirteen corps members tested positive for COVID-19 in the State.
A statement released by the NYSC Assistant Director, Press and Public Relations unit Mr. Enuma Peter, countered claims made by the commissioner, stating that all prospective corps members and officials of the NYSC were made to undergo a compulsory COVID-19 test before admittance into camps across the country.
He added that the commissioner was ignorant of the true state of affairs, and only a joint press release by the NYSC and the NCDC will give a true picture of things at the camp.
