NYSC DG Urges Corps Members to Be Security Conscious

The Director-General of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Suleiman Kazaure , has urged Corp members to be security conscious.

Corps Members have been advised to be security conscious in their respective host communities and also avoid lone movements.

NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Suleiman Kazaure stated this today in Gombe State Orientation Camp while addressing 1,624 Corps Members deployed to the State.

He said security is a collective responsibility of all and sundry adding that no Corps Member should undermine his security as management would not compromise the security of any of its Corps Members on National Service.

He also admonished them to be hardworking and avoid every act of ‘sharp practices’ like fraud, armed robbery, prostitution, drug trafficking among others.

General Kazaure urged the Corps Members to be respect the law enforcement agents and be of good conduct because their status is not an immunity against prosecution.

The State Coordinator in his brief, appealed to the Director-General for a befitting multi-purpose hall for lectures and also assistance due to erratic power supply to the camp.

He added that the State Government has promised to commence work at the permanent site of the Orientation Camp in Kwami Local Government Area of the State.
