NUC Approves Entrepreneurship Universities’ Curriculum

National Universities Commission, NUC approved the inclusion of  Entrepreneurship in the Nigeria universities’ curriculum to help students set up profitable business ventures along their professional line or on a new different idea entirely after graduation.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved the proposal by the Association of Business Executives (ABE) to include Entrepreneurship in the Nigeria universities’ curriculum.

In a letter dated October 2, 2014 and signed by the, executive secretary of the NUC Pro Julius Okonjie. and addressed to the chief executive officer of Association of Business Executives, Mr. John Goldup, it conveyed the endorsement and formal approval of the commission to ABE’s request to partner with NUC to promote entrepreneurial education in Nigerian universities.

Okojie in the letter said, “The commission in consideration of your pedigree as a reputable international organisation and professional body, wishes to convey its formal approval of the proposed ABE international certification programme for delivery in Nigerian universities. Please accept the assurance of the executive secretary’s highest regards.”

Every student is expected to undergo relevant general and specific programme in Entrepreneurship which will help them in setting up profitable business ventures along their professional line or on a new different idea entirely after graduation.

The signing of the MoU will take place at the Annual Nigeria. (Leadership)
