NSUK issues clarification regarding the introduction of third semester policy

Information reaching the management of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, indicates that some disgruntled elements are in the process of pitching innocent and unsuspecting students of the University against the management of the University because the authorities are imposing the Third Semester Policy on students of the University.

To set the records straight, the Third Semester Policy is a novel initiative well thought out and approved by the Senate of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, meant to allow students who have one academic issue or another and cannot graduate at the required time to sit for the courses they were unable to pass and remedy them and graduate with their mates rather than waiting for a full academic session before they can remedy these courses and graduate.

Students of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, are to note that the introduction of the Third Semester Policy is not compulsory and the management of the University has no plans whatsoever to make it mandatory as it is being peddled in some quarters by mischief makers who are bent on disrupting the seamless conduct of the 2nd Semester examinations.

For the avoidance of doubt, any student or group of students who have any plans or are hatching ideas to disturb the current examination and relative peace that the University is enjoying will not be spared as the full weight of the law will fall on such categories of students.

However, the University management is open to constructive discussions aimed at amicably resolving any perceived "thorny" issue(s) surrounding the Third Semester Policy.

While wishing the Students success in their ongoing exams, they are strongly advised to avoid such distractions and prepare well for their remaining examinations. Thank you!

Signed

Management.
