Nse Ikpe-Etim  is a renowned Nigerian actress. She became prominently known for her role in Reloaded in the year 2008. She was nominated for Best Actress during a Leading Role at the 5th and 8th Africa Movie Academy Awards for her role in Reloaded and Mr. and Mrs., respectively. In 2014, she won the most effective Actress during a Drama award at the 2014 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for enjoying “Nse” in Journey to Self.

The actress, who spoke at an occasion in Lekki Lagos State tagged ‘Conversation with Nse’, said she removed her womb to measure a normal life.

According to the state , she said she was diagnosed three years ago with Adenomyosis, a condition whereby the inner lining of the uterus breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus, adding that she had to get rid of her uterus so as to measure a traditional life. “I was told I couldn’t have kids, so, I had to possess a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) to form me have a life again and to prevent browsing what i used to be browsing .

“I’m literarily telling women and men, it really doesn’t matter if you can’t bear children. What really matters is what you’d do for the world, for the universe.”

“The day i used to be informed I had to get rid of my Uterus tears dropped then my husband squeezed my hand. it had been reassuring there was someone there and it had been telling me that this is often reality, my reality.”

“I didn’t think there was any point anymore because my society taught me that I even have to be a mother to be appreciated and each time I went online, i might have one troll or two say ‘you never born?’

“But I’m thankful that that didn’t break me.”
