Steps On How To Applying For Postgraduate Transcripts In NOUN (National Open University of Nigeria)

STEP 1: There are rare cases where the transcript applicant wants his/her transcript to be sent to a non-academic or corporate organization like a financial institution, a local or international Non Governmental Organization and the likes, such individual would have to request the requesting organization to write to “The Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, NOUN” on behalf of the applicant on the organization or NGO’s letter-headed paper, duly signed by the management of the company or officer in charge.

STEP 2: Applicant will be required to pay the required Transcript Processing Fee of 10,000 naira for locations within Nigeria, the Transcript Processing Fee  of 25,000 Naira will be paid for sending the transcripts to location outside Nigeria.

STEP 3: Payment of Step 2 is only to be completed using the Remita platform at www.remita.net as follows: WHO DO YOU WANT TO PAY TO (type “National Open University of Nigeria”); NAME OF SERVICE/PURPOSE (select “Miscellaneous Income” or “Others”); Purpose of Payment (type “Postgraduate Transcript”); enter other relevant details, and pay online or in the bank.

STEP 4: To avoid being a victim of fraud from individuals posing as NOUN agents, the management has made it clearly that payment of cash or any additional amount outside the aforementioned approved fee to any official of the University is at applicant’s own risk and NOUN management will not be responsible for the consequences.

STEP 5: Applicants applying for postgraduate transcript from NOUN are to fill the fields provided in the transcript application page and upload a copy of the certificate or notification of result from NOUN, a copy of their Remita receipt, the application letter from a corporate body (where necessary) and transcript label (where necessary).

FINAL STEP: Upon submission of the application, applicant will receive an acknowledgement message sent via our email from [email protected]. This would serve as a proof of successful application of your NOUN postgraduate transcript application.

NOUN Postgraduate Transcript Application Processing Time

The question here is how long does it take for NOUN Transcript application to be ready? Many request for their transcript and expect it the next day. The answer to the question is that since this application process takes time as other departments are involved in getting it ready, the management hereby informs all applicants that the processing time for NOUN postgraduate transcript application is between 5 – 15 working days during which the offices involved shall process the applications for posting.
